I’ve been painting for about ten years, and it’s become one of the ways I slow down and pay attention to the world around me. Whether it’s a hedgehog, a spring robin, or a sweet pea in bloom, each piece asks me to sit with the details and really see what’s there. That’s the same instinct that draws me to herbalism and to writing. Notice what’s in front of you. Let it teach you something.
